Body language is a type of communication to exchange information and to convey feelings and expression to the other person. It is found in animals and humans, and body language is also known as kinesics. It is considered a kinesthetic behavior, unlike words, and body language also differs from sign language. Body language is not just the movement of the body or the eyes, but it has the ability to speak loudly through non-verbal communication, as when it is silent, it also makes communication between others and when speech or verbal communication stops, non-verbal communication continues and actually the non-verbal communication continues always.

Body language is considered an unconscious behavior because it does not occur through the person’s awareness, but rather it is an instinct that exists in the person unless the person studies the science of the body and knows all its meanings, so he begins to use it in the way that enables him to deceive the other person and convince them of something different from our real feelings, so it is necessary to understand body language to know whether the other person is consciously using it or not. Body language gives an impression to others if you are honest or not, if you are good at listening or not. Also, body language can create comfort, trust, and comfortable relationships between people and attract them, and it can also create the exact opposite, such as tension, distrust and discomfort. Therefore, you should be more sensitive and know the body language of others, not only their body language, but also your own body language There are well-known, agreed upon and fixed interpretations of body language according to each country and society, and they differ from one society to another.

One of the characteristics of body language is that it establishes strong relationships between the parties, and the reason for it is ambiguous or unknown, and this is due thanks to body language. There are many different behaviors and types of body language, which we will talk about later, such as facial expressions, body posture, gestures, eye movement, touch movement, the space, breathing, handshakes, tone of voice and different physical movement.

There are many advantages to body language: firstly, repetition: it repeats what you said verbally, second, contradiction: where what you said verbally can be the opposite of what your body language spoke in, third, substitution: where you can change and reflect your body language what you say to others in a way Easier, clearer, or more understandable, and finally, complementary: where your body language can or will certainly complement what your verbal message says. You can improve your understanding and reading of body language by understanding feelings and contradictions, including body language and verbal speech, and do not put all your focus on a single sign or gesture in body language, but rather look at it as a whole group according to such a sign and ask yourself whether these signs are compatible or not and finally trust your instinct If you feel if this person is sincere or not.
